Mixing shaft
The power output by the motor in the mixing equipment is transmitted to the mixer through the mixing shaft, so the mixing shaft must be of sufficient strength. At the same time, the mixing shaft should not only be connected with the mixer, but also pass through the shaft seal device, bearings, couplings and other parts, so the mixing shaft should also have a reasonable structure, high machining accuracy and matching tolerance.
According to the support, the mixing shaft can be divided into cantilever type and single span type. Cantilever mixing shaft is not equipped with intermediate bearing or bottom bearing inside the mixing equipment, so it is convenient to maintain and repair. Especially for biological, food or drug mixing equipment with high cleanliness requirements, it reduces the components in the equipment, so it should be preferred.

In order to eliminate the swirling phenomenon of the liquid in the mixing container and make the stirred liquid tumble up and down to achieve uniform mixing, it is usually necessary to add a baffle in the mixing container. Generally, the width of the baffle is about 1/12 ~ 1/10 of the inner diameter of the container, in which the accessories in the equipment such as thermometer, heat transfer coil or various supports can also play a certain role as a baffle, but they often fail to meet the "full baffle condition". Generally, if the width of the baffle is increased, the power consumption will also increase, but when it increases to a certain value, the power consumption will not increase again. At this time, the working condition is called "full baffle condition".
In the mixing container, the fluid can flow to the agitator in all directions, and the length of the fluid stroke varies. When it is necessary to control the speed and direction of reflux, a diversion cylinder can be used to determine a first-class condition. The guide cylinder is a cylinder with upper and lower openings, which is installed in the container and plays a guiding role in mixing. It can not only improve the mixing degree of the fluid in the container, strengthen the direct shear effect of the mixer on the fluid, but also cause a certain circulating flow, so that the fluid in the container can pass through the strong mixing area in the guide cylinder, so as to improve the mixing efficiency. After installing the deflector, the circulation path is limited and the chance of fluid short circuit is reduced. The draft tube is mainly used for the flow diversion of push type, screw type and turbine type agitators. [1]
Shaft seal
Shaft seal is an important part of mixing equipment. The shaft seal belongs to the dynamic seal, and its function is to ensure that the mixing equipment is in a certain positive pressure or vacuum state, so as to prevent the escape of the stirred materials and the infiltration of impurities. Therefore, not all shaft seal types can be used in the mixing equipment. In mixing equipment, the most commonly used shaft seals include liquid seals, packing seals and mechanical seals.
Liquid seal
When the working pressure in the mixing equipment is normal pressure, and the function of the shaft seal is only to prevent dust and impurities from entering the internal working medium, or to isolate the contact between the working medium and the environmental medium around the mixing equipment, the liquid seal can be selected. The structure of liquid seal is simple, and there are no parts that directly contact with the transmission shaft and cause friction. However, in order to ensure that the gap between the cylindrical shell or static element and the rotating element meets the design requirements, the processing and installation requirements of the parts at the sealing part are high.
At the same time, due to the structural characteristics, the application range of liquid seal is narrow. It is generally applicable to occasions where the working medium is non flammable and explosive or slightly toxic, the working pressure in the equipment is equal to the atmospheric pressure, and the temperature range is 20-80 ºC.
It is worth noting that the liquid working medium cannot fill the mixing equipment; Moreover, the sealing liquid should be the working medium in the mixing equipment or neutral liquid that has no physical and chemical interaction with the working medium as far as possible, and must be very volatile and not pollute the atmosphere. Packing seal
It is a shaft sealing structure used earlier in mixing equipment, which has the advantages of simple structure, low manufacturing requirements, convenient maintenance and so on. However, the packing is easy to wear and the sealing reliability is poor. Generally, it is only suitable for mixing equipment with atmospheric pressure or low pressure and low speed, non corrosive and weak corrosive media, and regular maintenance is allowed.
Mechanical seal
Mechanical seal is a device that changes the sealing surface of the rotating shaft from axial direction to radial direction, and achieves sealing through mutual fitting and relative movement of the two end faces of the moving ring and the static ring, which is also called end face seal. The mechanical seal has the advantages of low leakage rate, reliable sealing performance, low power consumption, long service life, no frequent maintenance, and can meet the sealing requirements of production process automation and high temperature, low temperature, high pressure, high vacuum, high speed, as well as various flammable, explosive, corrosive, abrasive media and solid particle containing media.
Compared with packing seal, mechanical seal has the following advantages:
1. The sealing is reliable, the sealing state is stable in long-term operation, and the leakage is very small, which is only about 1% of the packing seal;
2. The service life is long, which can generally reach 1-2 years or more in oil and water media, and can generally work for more than half a year in chemical media;
3. The friction power consumption is low, and its friction power is only 10-50% of that of the packing seal;
4. The shaft or shaft sleeve is basically not worn;
5. The maintenance cycle is long, and the end face can be automatically compensated after wear. Generally, regular maintenance is not required;
6. Good vibration resistance, insensitive to the vibration and deflection of the rotating shaft and the deflection of the shaft to the sealing cavity;
7. It has a wide range of applications and can be used for sealing of high temperature, low temperature, high pressure, vacuum, different rotation frequencies, as well as various corrosive media and media containing abrasive particles.
Because of the above advantages of mechanical seal, it has been widely used in mixing equipment.
There are two kinds of mechanical seals: single face mechanical seal and double face mechanical seal. The price of single face mechanical seal is low. When the single face mechanical seal cannot meet the requirements, double face mechanical seal is required.
When the mixing medium is highly toxic, flammable, explosive, or expensive high-purity materials, or it needs to be operated in a high vacuum state, and the sealing requirements are very high, and the packing seal and mechanical seal cannot be met, the fully enclosed magnetic drive device can be selected.

The driving device of mixing equipment includes motor, transmission, coupling, bearing and frame, etc. The mixing drive mechanism usually adopts the combination of motor and transmission or the motor with frequency converter to make the mixing reach the required speed.
The function of the transmission device is to make the mixing shaft rotate at the required speed and ensure that the mixing shaft obtains the required torque. In most mixing equipment, there is only one mixing shaft, and the mixer rotates in one direction at a constant speed. However, there are also some special mixing equipment. In order to obtain better mixing effect, two mixing shafts can be used in one mixing equipment, and the mixer can perform complex movements, such as reciprocating, reciprocating, planetary, etc.

Because the speed of mixing equipment is generally low, the motor is combined with the transmission in most cases, and sometimes the frequency converter is also used for direct speed regulation. Agitator
Agitator, also known as impeller or blade, is the core component of mixing equipment. According to the flow pattern generated in the agitator, the agitator can basically be divided into axial flow and radial flow. For example, propelling impellers and new airfoil impellers belong to axial flow agitators, while various straight and curved blade turbine impellers belong to radial flow agitators.
The agitator is usually vertically inserted into the kettle from the center of the top of the kettle, and sometimes the way of side insertion, bottom extension or side extension is also adopted. Different installation methods shall be selected according to different mixing requirements.
Type of agitator
The propeller agitator is composed of 2 ~ 3 propeller blades (Fig. 2). The working speed is high, and the peripheral speed of the outer edge of the blade is generally 5 ~ 15m / s. The propeller agitator mainly causes axial liquid flow and produces a large circulation volume. It is suitable for mixing low viscosity (<2pa · s) liquids, emulsions and suspensions with a solid particle content of less than 10%. The rotating shaft of the agitator can also be inserted into the tank horizontally or obliquely. At this time, the circulating circuit of the liquid flow is asymmetric, which can increase turbulence and prevent the liquid level depression.
The turbine agitator is composed of 2 ~ 4 flat or curved blades installed on the horizontal disc (Fig. 3). The ratio of outer diameter, width and height of the blade is generally 20:5:4, and the circumferential speed is generally 3 ~ 8m / s. The highly turbulent radial flow caused by the rotation of the turbine is suitable for the dispersion of gases and immiscible liquids and the liquid-liquid phase reaction process. The viscosity of the stirred liquid generally does not exceed 25Pa · s.
There are two types of paddle agitators: flat paddle and inclined paddle. The flat paddle agitator is composed of two straight blades. The ratio of blade diameter to height is 4 ~ 10, and the circumferential velocity is 1.5 ~ 3m / s. The radial liquid flow velocity produced is small. The two blades of the inclined paddle agitator (Fig. 4) turn 45 ° or 60 ° opposite to each other, resulting in axial liquid flow. Paddle agitators are simple in structure and are often used for mixing low viscosity liquids and dissolving and suspending solid particles.
The shape of the outer edge of the anchor agitator blade should be consistent with the inner wall of the mixing tank (Fig. 5), and there is only a small gap between them, which can remove the viscous reaction products attached to the tank wall or the solids accumulated at the bottom of the tank, so as to maintain a good heat transfer effect. The peripheral speed of the outer edge of the blade is 0.5 ~ 1.5m/s, which can be used to stir Newtonian and pseudoplastic fluids with viscosity up to 200Pa · s (see viscous fluid flow. Only when stirring high viscosity liquids, there is a large stagnation zone in the liquid layer.
The outer diameter of the ribbon of the ribbon mixer is equal to the pitch (Fig. 6), which is specially used to stir high viscosity liquids (200 ~ 500pa · s) and pseudoplastic fluids. It is usually operated in laminar flow.

Heating and cooling device editing
Generally, the user unit depends on whether the material is heated, dried or cooled. Within the customized range, the temperature should be below 200 ºC and the service pressure should be lower than 0.1MPa. The heating method can be determined according to the production conditions of the user unit. There are two heating methods: hot oil and other media circulation and direct electric heating. The circulation of hot oil and other media is that the heat transfer oil is heated to a certain temperature in another configured heating tank, and then transported and circulated through the hot oil pump; Direct heating refers to the direct installation of electric heating pipe on the jacket to heat the heat transfer oil to the required temperature (the temperature can be adjusted according to the actual situation). Cooling circulation is to use water to circulate inside and outside the jacket, so that the material will not produce caking or viscosity at a certain temperature. Coils can also be added for heating or cooling according to user requirements.
